Oribar Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to your access and use of all products and services that are made available by Oribar, Inc., its affiliates, and subsidiaries (the “Services”) through our website, including but not limited to www.Oribar.com and mobile applications (collectively, the “Site”).

This Privacy Policy describes the information that we gather from you, how we use it, whom your information is shared with, and how we protect your information. You consent to the privacy practices described in this Policy by using the Service and/or Site.

Our data collection, use, and sharing practices, are largely governed by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Terms not defined in our Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in Oribar’s Terms of Use. Information collected by us

INFORMATION WE COLLECT DIRECTLY FROM YOU

We collect information directly from you when you use our Services or Site such as when you register to become a member, when you request your credit report and/or score, when you link third-party financial accounts, when you fill out calculators, forms, or other fields on our Service and/or Site. We may ask you to provide us with the following information:

Name; email address; mailing address; phone number; date of birth; Social Security number; your third-party financial account information, such as ID and password; your financial information, such as investments, income, expenses, investible assets, investing risk tolerance or other similar types of information; age, gender, or other similar demographic information when such information is relevant to a particular financial product or service you have requested (for example, when requesting using financial planning calculators).

We do not store your Social Security number or your third-party financial account ID or passwords. We do securely pass this information to our third-party partners when you request Services that necessitate confirmation of your identity, , and/or to provide you with access to your financial information on our Service/Site.

INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

1. Information Automatically Collected Through Cookies and Other Web Tools

When you visit the Site, utilize the Service, or open an email correspondence from Oribar, we automatically receive and record some information from your computer, web browser, and/or mobile device, such as:

IP address or other device address or ID; web browser and/or device type; geolocation data if using the Service or accessing the site on a mobile device; hardware and software settings and configurations; web pages or sites that you visit just before or just after visiting the Site; pages you view within the Site; your activities on the Site; dates/times that you visit, access, or utilize the Services.

2. Cookies

When you use the Services and/or Site, we may send one or more Cookies (which are small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters) to your computer or mobile device. There are two types of cookies we use: Session Cookies and Persistent Cookies. A Session Cookie disappears after you close your browser. A Persistent Cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Site or Services. Persistent Cookies can be removed. Please consult your web browser’s help guide to learn to properly modify cookie settings. If you delete, or choose not to accept, Cookies from the Services or Site, you may not be able to utilize all the intended features of the Services and/or Site.

3. Third-Party Web Beacons and Buttons

We may implement third-party advertising and content on the Site and/or Service that could use, web beacons, clear GIFs scripts, or tags which allow the third-party content provider to read and write Cookies to your web browser on the Site. We may include third-party buttons that allow a third-party to collect information about you through their browser Cookies, even if you do not interact with that button.

A number of different targeting and ad programs may be used on the Site/Service such as Google Analytics. We allow third parties, nonaffiliated business partners, advertising networks, analytics providers, and other ad service providers to collect information about your online usage and utilization of the Site/Service and across your browsers and devices using cookies, web beacons, scripts, tags, mobile advertising identifiers and similar technologies. These third parties may use this information to display online advertising on your browsers and/or devices, which are tailored to your interests and preferences. Information collected bythese technologies is collected directly by the third parties and we are not responsible for the privacy policies practices of these third parties. The information collected by these third parties in this manner is subject to that third party’s own privacy policies. You may need to take additional steps to opt out on both the Service and the Site.  Most mobile devices allow you to opt out of interest-based ads for mobile apps using the settings within the app or your device. Please note that your opt-out will apply only to the browser and device you are presently using when you opt out.

INFORMATION FROM OTHER SOURCES 

We may also obtain information about you from third-party sources, such as our partners or advertisers. We may also, at your direction, receive credit reports or scores from consumer reporting agencies such as TransUnion or Equifax, or third-party services that provide a mechanism to share information you have provided to the third-party through the use of an application program interface (API), such as Facebook Connect or the Twitter API. If we combine or associate information from other sources with your information that we collect through the Services, we will treat the combined information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, the Terms, and applicable law.

How your information is Shared by Oribar

Your information is essential to our operations and we use it in a variety of ways to provide the Services, maintain our Site, and operating our business generally. We may use the information we collect from you for some of the following:

A. To provide Services you request and enable non-affiliated third parties to provide services you may request from time to time;

B. To operate, maintain, and enhance our Services and/or Site and implement new features, improve upon our existing features, and expand functionality;

C. To analyze usage trends and preferences of our users across different devices and gain insights into our users and user base;

D. For fraud detection and information security purposes;

E. We may use your e-mail address or other personal information (a) to contact you for administrative purposes, (b) respond to intellectual property, right of privacy, or other issues related to content you have posted on the Services/Site, and/or (c) to send promotional materials, offers, and/or messages related to the Services/Site and the activities of third parties we work with. We may use information collected from you via cookies and similar tools to: (a) personalize our Services to you, such as remembering your information so you do not have to resubmit it during your visit or the next time you visit the Services/Site; (b) provide customized advertising, content, and information; (c) monitor and analyze the functionality of the Site/Services and third-party marketing activities; (d) monitor aggregated site usage data; and (e) track your activity and status in promotions or other activities offered on the Site or through our Service;

G. If you request access to your consumer credit reports, we may use it (1) to provide you with access to your free credit score, including periodic updates to your credit score, and (2) to make recommendations regarding financial products and services that may be of interest to you, including credit cards, personal loans, home loans and other financial products and services offered by Oribar partners.

How Oribar Shares Your Information

A.  We may disclose your information in connection with the provision of Services and business operations.

B. We may share information collected directly from you with nonaffiliated third-party partners or service providers in connection with your use of specific features of our Services.

C. We may share automatically collected information such as IP address as well anonymized information with nonaffiliated third-party partners when you leave our Site to go to a third-party site to request information or apply for financial products.

D.  We may share your credit report and other personal information with our subsidiaries in order to provide you with recommendations on financial products and services that might be of interest to you.

E. We may share your information with third-party service providers to support our internal and business operations. In such cases, service providers may use the information only as necessary to provide the services to us and are contractually required to keep your information confidential and secure.

F. If you share your personal information on a publicly accessible area of the Site, that information will be accessible to anyone who is able to access that content (more or less, the whole general public).

G. We may share anonymized and/or aggregated analytics with third-parties about how user interaction with the Site/Services, usage patterns, content, ads, promotions, and/or feature functionality our Service provides.

H. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with state and federal laws (such as copyright law), in response to a court order, judicial or other government subpoena or warrant, or to otherwise cooperate with law enforcement activity.

I. By submitting a request through our Services, you consent to the disclosure of your information to third parties in order for us to fulfill your request. The collection and use of your information by third parties is subject to each third party’s specific privacy policy and terms of use.

J. If you submit a request through our Services or Site, a third-party service provider may directly contact you with quotes or information via telephone and/or email.

K. Do not request information or services if you do not want your personal information shared in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Any information shared as described above with third-parties are subject to those party’s privacy policy and will apply to that party’s use of your information. Oribar has no control over third-party entities privacy policies.

L. You may decline to share information with us, in which case we may not be able to provide to you some features of our Services.

Account Management

A. UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION

You may update or correct your profile information and preferences at any time once you are a register an account by accessing your account settings through the Service and/or Site.

B. DEACTIVATING YOUR ACCOUNT

Your information is not deleted or purged when you deactivate your account. We will retain information you submit for legal compliance purposes, backups and archiving, fraud prevention, and analytical purposes.  You will not receive emails from Oribar and links to third-party financial accounts, and Services will automatically terminate.

C. UNSUBSCRIBE FROM EMAILS

You may opt out of receiving email from us, except as otherwise required by law, by using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of any marketing email from us. We will still retain all information you submit for purposes such as backups, archiving, legal compliance, fraud prevention, and analysis.

General Provisions

We utilize commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards that are designed to protect the integrity and security of of data we store or process. We cannot ensure, guarantee, orwarrant the security of any information you transmit through the Services or the Site. You share information at your own risk and Oribar is not responsible for such breaches of data, except as otherwise required by applicable law.

Oribar reserves the right to transfer or assign the information that we have collected from users in connection with a corporate transaction, such as an acquisition, merger or other consolidation, asset sale, or bankruptcy.

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you about material changes by posting updated Privacy Policies to our Site. Modifications are effective upon posting of the updated Privacy Policy or Terms of Use on the Site. Please visit this page periodically to stay abreast of modifications to this Privacy Policy.
